TERMS, RULES, CONDITIONS
Welcome to Self Portraits at Studio 342! Are you ready for a one of a kind entertainment experience? Please read the following rules that are in place to keep everyone safe and having fun at our facility.
“Self Portrait” Rules and Policies:
1. Use of Studio 342’s facility is at your own risk. Studio 342 (Snap YYC Inc.) is not responsible in any way (including monetary compensation) for any injury and/or damage/loss of property you incur during your visit, including any potential damage to your cameras and/or cellphones.
2. 100% payment of “Self Portrait” bookings is required to secure the date for your booking. Any extras purchased during your visit will be paid at the studio prior to the end of your booking. There are no refunds for “Self Portrait” bookings.
3.You are permitted to reschedule your session ONE TIME. Rescheduling your session more than one time is not permitted and will not be honoured. Rescheduling of your booking is acceptable 48 hours or earlier before your booking start time. Rescheduling within 48 hours of your booking start time is subject to a 20% rescheduling fee. Rescheduling is no longer permitted after your session time has started.
4.If you arrive late you will not be given a time extension. No refunds or price adjustments will be given for arriving late or missing your time slot.
5.Studio 342 is located on a private property in a residential area. You are not permitted to enter any part of the property other than the designated studio entrance. Please do not approach the residence. If you require assistance during your booking, please contact the phone number provided to you in your booking confirmation. If booked during late night or early morning hours, please be mindful of noise levels to respect the neighbouring residents.
6.You and your guests may enter the studio at the start time of your booking. You may arrive to the property up to 10 minutes in advance but you are not permitted to enter the studio until your start time. We ask that you remain in your vehicle until your designated start time.
7.You must vacate the property immediately after your session is complete. Loitering on the property or on neighbouring properties is strictly prohibited.
8.We ask that you keep the space clean during your booking. There is a ZERO tolerance policy for footwear on any upholstery such as sofas, couches, chairs or any other material that cannot easily be cleaned. If you leave the studio in excessive disarray or stain upholstery you will be charged a minimum $100.00 + GST cleaning fee. CONFETTI BALLOONS/POPPERS popped in the studio incur a minimum $100 clean up fee if any confetti is left behind. We require you to leave the studio space in the same condition as it was in upon your arrival. Cleaning fees are at the discretion of Studio 342.
9.Model release: all photos taken during “Self Portrait” sessions can be used in all ways Self Portraits (Snap YYC Inc.) sees fit including but not limited to: advertising campaigns, websites, social media posts, news stories, information brochures and “Self Portrait” portfolios. It is acknowledged that you are not entitled to compensation for use of any photographs taken during “Self Portrait” sessions.
Clients can opt out of this clause by submitting their request in writing via our contact form on our website before the start of their session.
10. In the event Self Portraits cancels your booking, the limit of liability is restricted to reimbursement of all monies paid to Self Portraits at the time of the cancellation.
11. All example images on “selfportraits.ca” are indicative of what you can expect as photo deliverables from your “Self Portrait”session. Images posted to social media and other affiliate websites may not be representative of the “Self Portrait” product
12.All participants who enter Studio 342 under the “Self Portraits” portal must purchase admission. This includes but is not limited to: photographers, parents, friends, chauffeurs, and chaperones.
13. Self Portraits are a private session.
14.. Outfit changes are permitted in the designated changing areas. Please DO NOT change in view of the camera. Self Portrait sessions are surveilled through the camera’s live feed.
15. Any derogatory, aggressive, intimidating, or inappropriate behaviour towards Self Portraits team members or other guests will not be tolerated at any time. You will be asked to leave and forfeit your entrance fee.
16. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. It is your responsibility to supervise children in your care. If behaviour is damaging or disruptive, you will be asked to leave and forfeit your entrance fee.
17. Please respect the backdrops, props, and furniture. Damage to a display, prop, or furniture will result in you being billed to repair the damage or replace the damaged item. Dragging, pushing, and/or pulling furniture or other props across floors is strictly prohibited. Clients will be financially liable for any damage to floors (scratches) and/or furniture as a result of damage caused by dragging, pushing, and/or pulling furniture. Please ask for assistance from staff to properly move furniture.
18. Self Portraits at Studio 342 is not responsible for your personal belongings.
19. Self Portrait images are delivered in JPEG format. The photos are high quality and can be printed large. “Self Portrait” images do not include retouching, unless specified in the product description. Retouching is an add-on service arranged after your photos are delivered. Self Portraits cannot deliver images in RAW format.
20. Self Portrait images are delivered in an Amazon Photos or Amazon Drive link through email. Downloading instructions are provided with the download link. Self Portraits will not upload images to any other file sharing or photo platform.
21. Admission to Self Portraits cannot be shared among multiple individuals. For example, you cannot visit for half the duration of your booking, leave the studio, and have another individual enter the studio in your place.
22. Self Portraits reserves the right to request ID to verify booking identity. Please have this with you when you arrive.
23. “Self Portrait” bookings booked at the end of the day “last call” time slots are subject to the following lateness policy: If you are more than 15 minutes late with no phone communication with Self Portraits Staff, you will forfeit your time slot and Studio 342 will close.
24. You must complete your visit within the time you have booked. This includes outfit changes, and setup and teardown of any props. Please give yourself adequate time to complete your photos with this in mind.
25. Please do not touch any of the light switches or any photography lights in Studio 342. If any of the artificial lights are not working, please call or text a team member. Repositioning, turning off, or trying to adjust lights is strictly prohibited.
26. During “Self Portraits”, Studio 342 restricts the setup of any backgrounds not provided by Studio 342, such as seamless paper or other typically professional backgrounds. If you would like to rent the studio for a traditional photo shoot, please visit our sister website https://studio342.ca. Restricted uses of Studio 342 during “Self Portraits” is at the sole discretion of Studio 342 staff.
27. Please obey and follow all signage regarding areas with prohibited access. Please do not touch, change settings, or readjust any equipment. If there is a problem with any of the equipment please notify a Self Portraits team member as soon as possible.
28. Clients who damage seamless paper backgrounds as a result of misuse and/or ignoring floor markings or instructions from Self Portraits staff will be financially liable to replace the damaged paper background.
“Editorial” self portraits include floor coverage with the white seamless paper background. The floor surface of the paper background may be protected from dirt and damage by plexiglass, removing this plexiglass without staff approval is not permitted. Incidental dirt and damage from previous clients may be present on the seamless paper floor. Replacement of seamless paper floors is at the sole discretion of staff.
Clients who would like to use the seamless paper background without the Plexiglass covering or would like to use a fresh cut of seamless paper (subject to availability) will be billed an additional $35. This additional service can be requested before your session and billed in studio.
Clients who damage the “Cyclorama” cove as a result of misuse and/or ignoring signage or instructions from Self Portraits staff will be financially liable to repair the Cyclorama cove.
29. “Self Portrait” clients are assigned a wireless remote control to trigger the professional cameras. Clients who damage, or lose the wireless remote control will be billed $150 to replace the remote control.
30. “Self Portraits – Editorial” are full body – 3/4 body photos on an infinity white background.
“Self Portraits – Beauty” are 3/4 body – headshot style photos on a selection of backdrops.
“Self Portraits – “Archway” are full body – 3/4 body photos on an arched light grey background.
“Self Portraits – Cyclorama” are fully body photos on a light grey Cyclorama cove.
Self Portrait Christmas bookings (only available during the holidays) are set in front of ONE of two background options. The “XMAS 1” set is an elegant white and silver themed set with a modern white couch and classic wall mouldings. The “XMAS 2” is a red and green themed set with an antique couch and fireplace. When booking, please ensure you select the scene you prefer. The self portrait set up cannot be moved between scenes during your booking. If you would like to book both scenes, please reserve back to back time slots.
31. Admission to Self Portraits includes the full digital album from your Self Portrait session.
32. Optional 4×6, 5″X7″, or 8″X10″ printed photos and/or photo frames can be purchased separately. All frame purchases include one 4×6, 5″X7″ or 8″X10″ print respectively. All prints are selected and ordered once your full album is delivered to you. Print orders can be picked up from Studio 342 or mailed to your address (additional fee).
33. “Self Portrait” admission does not give you access to other services from Studio 342.
34. Self Portraits at Studio 342 reserves the right to amend any part of these rules and policies.
35. It is your responsibility to make sure everyone in your party is aware of these rules and agrees to abide by them while visiting Self Portraits at Studio 342.
Failure to abide by the above rules and regulations, or failure to follow directions of team members will result in you being asked to leave the facility and no refunds will be issued.
By booking Self Portraits at Studio 342, I agree to abide by the above rules, and agree to this agreement on behalf of everyone in my party and any minors in my care. I recognize failure to abide by the above rules will result in being asked to leave Studio 342 and forfeit any payments made to Self Portraits.
